Theatre for Social Development
A practical study of social development-focused arts-based work, the company gives participants the creative and practical tools for conducting programs for a wide array of stakeholders. The program covers theatre-based approaches to conflict resolution, team-building, creative thinking, trauma release, and enhanced communication skills, and accentuates the value of theatre in disseminating essential information to communities that are isolated by location, incarceration or tradition. Drawing from 20 years of active participation in some of this generation's most pressing world crises - in Afghanistan, the Balkans, Kosovo, Colombia, Haiti, Myanmar - the course offers a practical introduction into the growing field of Theatre for Social Development.
