Travels with Tricksters

Our most popular program to date, this show introduces audiences to the many Tricksters, skills and stories we have encountered in our travels around the world. Visual treats from many cultures flavor the show. It is an entertaining geography lesson and introduction to the variety of theatrical styles from each country, from the slapstick comedy of Europe to the acrobatic flair of the Peking Opera.

Giant Steps - NEW

From long ago Medieval Europe to far away Asia and Africa come amazing tales about the “giant steps” of humankind. Join our friend Jackie as she learns to walk, discovers fire and language, and finds herself up a beanstalk where she must outsmart a hungry giant with the wealth of knowledge she has learned along the way. A delightful combination of history, storytelling, stilt dancing, and audience participation.

Pythagoras Plays the Blues

Meet Pythagoras and Theana, two ancient Greeks who discover and teach each other some of the wonders of math, music and the nature of the Universe, including the infamous Pythagorean Theorem and the Harmonic Series. Peter and the Wolf

The Phoenix Woodwind Quintet and Bond Street Theatre bring to life the dynamic musical story of Peter and the Wolf and all of his entertaining animal friends. The show introduces young audiences to the exciting musical score of Prokofiev, the instruments that make up a woodwind ensemble, and skills of pantomime and story telling via a narrator-mime.

How to be An Actorbat! Workshops and Residencies

What is Actorbatics? It’s a physical training process for achieving a precision and proficiency of balance, movement, physical expression and dexterity, and to improve skills of communication and creative thinking. It’s also a lesson in History and Multi-Cultural Studies.
What does the Actorbat learn? Techniques of mime, mask, circus arts, physical comedy, creative movement, rhythm, story-telling, and more.
Who can be an Actorbat? Anyone with a body, a voice, and an imagination (in other words: everyone!)
